Dubai Seeks AI Collaborations with South Korean Startups
Dubai is actively pursuing partnerships with South Korean AI startups to bolster its position as a global technology hub. The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and Korea’s KOTRA are establishing frameworks to facilitate cross-border innovation, leveraging Dubai’s tax incentives and low-cost business licenses to attract foreign firms until 2026.
Saeed Al Falasi of the DFF highlighted the strategic importance of these collaborations during the Expand North Star exhibition. The initiative builds on existing ties with South Korea’s National Research Foundation, underscoring Dubai’s commitment to technology diplomacy.
Analysts caution that measurable outcomes will be critical to validating the long-term impact of these partnerships. The city’s ability to deliver tangible results will determine its success in becoming a dominant player in the global AI landscape.
